US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo on Wednesday once again claimed that the Donald Trump administration has enough information to believe that the deadly corona virus originated from China’s lab in Wuhan. Pompeo said in an interview to Fox News, ‘I cannot tell about the intelligence we have collected in this regard, but we have so much information that we are now confident in this’.
The minister said that he had seen evidence that the virus originated from Wuhan’s lab. He said, ‘I have also seen evidence to deny this. We should get to the bottom of this, so we have been saying for the last several months that western countries should be given access to this information. ‘ More than 70,000 people have died in the US with this virus and more than 1.2 million people have been found infected.
The first action taking place
Pompeo said, “What happened here should not have happened. We know that it originated from Wuhan, China. We are aware that China was aware of this by at least December, but did not take prompt action and at the behest of China, the World Health Organization did not declare it a global pandemic in due course. ‘
“We need information not only to work on this crisis, but we also need access to information to mitigate this risk and ensure that it does not happen again,” he said. On the WHO case, he said, “It is unacceptable to allow the WHO to fail again.” He said that if the organization fails to do its work, America will no longer be a part of it.
