To celebrate 35th anniversary celebration of Mario, Nintendo has teamed up with e-commerce giant Amazon. As a result, Amazon is sending special limited edition Super Mario themed box to lucky customers. The customers may get this box sporting Nintendo’s IP even if their ordered product is not remotely connected to Nintendo or accessories. The retail giant will meanwhile promote some Mario-related products. These special edition boxes will be sent to Amazon customers throughout November. However, it is not clear that how many such boxes will be given to customers. The partnership was revealed on the Missions tab of its website. Customers can complete a task in order to enter the Super Mario Sweepstakes.
Nintendo said that these boxes are limited in numbers and therefore it will be sent randomly while supplies last. The company has also clarified that purchasing more products won’t increase the number of chances of getting a Mario box. The retail has even launched a new Super Mario splash page. The page features all the information related to the franchise. The details are placed in the form of a timeline giving all the information about ever since the first game was launched for the NES in 1985. Customers can find some very important Super Mario games on the webpage. This also gives access to a pre-order link for Super Mario 3D World + Bowser’s Fury.
The new limited edition box will have large images of Mario and Luigi and will come in bright red colour. The partnership between Amazon and Nintendo will also allow users to earn 100 Platinum Points. This is among the long list of announcements made by Nintendo off late for Mario’s 35th anniversary. Earlier in September, Nintendo had released Super Mario 3D All-Stars. In October, the company released a mixed reality game that featured real RC cars. Now in November, it has launched the NES version of Super Mario Bros.
